What are microgreens?

Microgreens are very young vegetable greens. Micro greens are grown in soil or a growing medium. They are harvested after the appearance of the first cotyledons leaf.

Microgreens are usually harvested 7–21 days after germination, once the plant’s first true leaves have emerged.

Microgreens are more similar to baby greens in that their stems and leaves are edible. The difference is they are much smaller in size and can be sold before the full harvest cycle.

They not only have an incredible aromatic flavour, but they also have concentrated nutrient content!
