“After coming through a year that has changed the world, people and the way we look at everything, doing life differently was something we began to look at. Becoming more self-sufficient by growing high-energy, nutrient-rich food was appealing. We came across a number of websites that were passionate about the same things we were and were directed to Micro Acres. They are a couple in Airdrie, Alberta that have made a successful business of growing micro greens and happened to be starting a course on how to grow and sell MicroGreens. The timing was perfect. The course was perfect! Micro Acres was perfect. So, we took the course and began our own business in Powell River, BC. Following the business model laid out for us we are able to provide fresh product, weekly, to our community, year round! That was something that appealed to me. Because, as you know, we live in Canada and it is sometimes difficult to get your hands on fresh produce. This is fresh, delivered to your door within a day of it being harvested. Doesn’t get much fresher than that!”
